Can I Recover Funds Sent to the Wrong Address?
Onchain transactions are irreversible. TokenPocket is a decentralized, self-custodial wallet. It does not hold user assets and cannot cancel, reverse, or modify transactions on the blockchain.
Whether your funds can be recovered depends on the transaction status and the type of address that received them. First, locate the transaction hash (TxID) and check its status in a blockchain explorer.
1. The Transaction Has Not Been Confirmed
No Transaction Hash
The transaction may not have been broadcast to the blockchain, and the assets should still be in the sending address. Verify the network and recipient address before trying again.
Status: Pending
The transaction is still waiting to be confirmed. Some networks allow pending transactions to be canceled or replaced, but success is not guaranteed. Try to cancel it as soon as possible.
Status: Fail
The transaction was not completed, so the assets were generally not transferred to the recipient. However, any network fee already consumed cannot be refunded.
2. The Transaction Status Is Success
The assets have been successfully transferred on-chain. Because blockchain transactions are irreversible, TokenPocket cannot cancel or reverse the transaction. Follow the appropriate steps below.
1. The Address Is Correct, but the Network Is Wrong
This is a wrong-network transfer rather than a wrong-address transfer.
If you control the receiving address and the assets were sent over an EVM-compatible network, you may be able to locate them using TokenPocket's Wallet Sync feature.
If the receiving address belongs to an exchange, contact the exchange's customer support for assistance.
2. The Funds Were Sent to Someone Else's Wallet
Contact the owner of the receiving address and ask them to return the funds. Only the person who controls that address can access and transfer the assets.
If you cannot identify or contact the address owner, the funds generally cannot be recovered.
3. The Funds Were Sent to a Contract Address
Contract addresses generally do not have private keys. Whether the funds can be recovered depends on the contract's code and whether it includes a recovery or withdrawal function.

Why Can't I Transfer Assets to a Contract Address?
Security Reminder
Always verify the network, recipient address, and Memo/Tag before sending. For large transfers, send a small test amount first. Stop and double-check the details if TokenPocket displays a risk or contract address warning.
Never share your recovery phrase, private key, or wallet password with anyone. Be cautious of anyone claiming they can forcibly reverse an on-chain transaction or recover your assets for a fee.
