# How to Add Custom Tokens?

If a token does not appear in your asset list automatically, you can add it manually using its contract address. Adding a token only makes its balance visible in TokenPocket—it does not initiate an on-chain transaction or require a network fee.

> **Risk warning:** \
> Always verify the contract address through the project’s official channels or a trusted blockchain explorer. Watch out for impersonation tokens, fake airdrops, and phishing links.

#### 1. Open the custom token page

Open TokenPocket and select a wallet on the network where the token was issued.

On the **Assets** page, tap **+**, then select **Custom token**.

#### 2. Enter the token details

On the **Manage Custom Token** page, tap **Add token**.

Enter the following information:

* Token contract address
* Token symbol
* Token decimal

Verify the details, then tap **Confirm**. The example below uses TPT on BNB Chain.

Once added, return to the **Assets** page to view the token. If the balance does not appear immediately, pull down to refresh or try again later.

> **Tip:** Some tokens may not appear automatically after you import a wallet. If the wallet address, network, and token contract details are correct, you can add the token manually to display its on-chain balance.

### FAQ

#### 1. Is it safe to add a custom token?

Adding a token only displays its balance and does not move your assets. However, TokenPocket cannot verify whether a custom token is legitimate or safe.

Do not rely on the token’s name, logo, or airdrop message alone. Avoid links attached to unknown tokens, and do not approve, swap, or transfer them unless you have verified the project and contract address.

#### 2. Why can’t I find the token using its contract address?

Check if both contract address and network are correct.

The same token may use different contract addresses on different networks.

#### 3. Why does the token balance show zero?

Confirm that the current wallet address holds the token and that you selected the correct network and contract address.

You can also check the wallet’s balance using the relevant blockchain explorer.
