Thailand Travel Rule: How to Verify Wallet Ownership with TokenPocket
Thailand’s Digital Asset Travel Rule will take effect on February 27, 2027.
Under the new requirements, regulated digital asset operators in Thailand may need to verify the ownership or control of self-hosted wallets when users transfer digital assets between regulated platforms and their own wallets.
For example:
Thai Exchange → TokenPocket TokenPocket → Thai Exchange
Users may be asked to prove:
“I control this wallet address.”
The exact verification process may vary by platform. Always follow the official instructions provided by the exchange or digital asset operator you use.
What is wallet address verification?
With a self-hosted wallet, users control their own private keys.
Proving control of a wallet does not mean sharing your private key or seed phrase.
One way to prove wallet control is through Message Signing.
The process typically works like this:
Platform provides a message → User signs it with their wallet → Signature is submitted → Platform verifies wallet control
A valid cryptographic signature can prove control of the corresponding wallet address without transferring assets or exposing the private key.
How to sign a message with TokenPocket
TokenPocket provides a built-in Message Signing tool.
Step 1: Get the verification message
Obtain the original message from the platform requesting wallet verification.
Step 2: Open Message Signing & Verification

Step 4: Review and sign

Step 5: Submit the signature
