# Gas-free Swap
Gas has long been one of the biggest friction points in on-chain interactions. If you do not have the native Gas token for the network you are using, you may be unable to make a swap even if your wallet holds other assets. For example, on BNB Chain, a swap may fail to submit if there is no BNB in the wallet to pay the network fee.
Gas-Free Swap feature is designed to reduce this barrier. In supported scenarios, TokenPocket sponsors the network fee, allowing you to complete a swap without preparing the native Gas token in advance. This helps prevent transactions from being interrupted due to insufficient Gas and makes on-chain asset swaps smoother, lighter, and more efficient.\

### How to Use Gas-Free Swap
#### Requirements:
1. Supported networks: BNB Chain and Polygon
2. Native token balance: 0, with a swap value over $35
3. Usage limit: Up to 2 times per address, subject to daily availability
#### Step 1: Open Swap and choose the tokens
Open [TokenPocket](https://www.tokenpocket.pro/) and select the wallet you want to use for the swap.
On the **Assets** page, tap **Swap** to enter the swap page.
Choose the token you want to pay with and the token you want to receive, then enter the swap amount. After reviewing the details on the page, tap **Confirm Swap**.
#### Step 2: Confirm the Gas-Free transaction
If this is your first time using the feature, you may be prompted to upgrade your transaction experience. Tap **Start Upgrade** and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the signature.
After the upgrade, you will be taken to the transaction details page. Please review the following information carefully:
* The amount of tokens you will pay and receive;
* Whether the sending address is correct;
* Whether the network fee is shown as 0;
* Whether the page indicates that the network fee is sponsored by TokenPocket.
If everything looks correct, tap **Confirm** to continue.
After the transaction is submitted, you can check its status in your swap history or on the corresponding blockchain explorer. If the assets do not appear immediately, refresh the asset page later or check the transaction confirmation status.

#### 1. What is Gas-Free Swap?
Gas-Free Swap is a TokenPocket feature available in certain supported scenarios. It helps cover the network fee so users can complete a swap even when they do not have the native Gas token in their wallet.
When the transaction details page shows the network fee as 0, you do not need to hold extra Gas tokens for that network to proceed with the swap. This is especially helpful for users who have just imported a wallet, received tokens, or are using a network for the first time.
#### 2. Why do I need to upgrade before using it for the first time?
Gas-Free Swap is built on the 7702 protocol. Before using it for the first time, you need to upgrade to the smart wallet transaction experience.
After the upgrade, some swap flows can reduce repeated approvals and multiple signatures, while enabling Gas sponsorship. This makes future transaction confirmations simpler and more efficient.
#### 3. Why don’t I see the Gas-Free option, or why is the network fee not 0?
Possible reasons include:
* The current network is not supported, only BNB chain and polygon chain are available now;
* The transaction does not meet the Gas-Free Swap requirements, such as having a non-zero native token balance, having used up the daily free quota, or the swap amount being below $35;
* Your TokenPocket app version is outdated, [upgrade](https://www.tokenpocket.pro/) to the latest one;
* The internet connection is unstable, or the page data has not refreshed.
Whether Gas-Free Swap is available depends on what is shown in TokenPocket.
