# How to Create Wallet

\
This guide shows you how to create wallet in TokenPocket, taking Ethereum wallet as example.

> **Before you start:** Use a secure personal device and have a pen and paper ready. Turn off screen recording, mirroring, and sharing before backing up your recovery phrase.

### Step 1: Start the Wallet Creation Process

Open TokenPocket and select **“No accounts – Create Now.”**

### Step 2: Set a Master Password

Enter and confirm a master password of at least eight characters. Accept the Service Agreement, then tap **“Confirm.”**

Use a strong, unique password and keep it safe. TokenPocket cannot view or reset it. This password protects the app on your current device but cannot replace your recovery phrase.

### Step 3: Select Target Network

On the **“Select A Network”** screen, find **“SingleNetwork”** and select **Ethereum**.

### Step 4: Name Your Wallet

Keep the suggested wallet name or enter your own. Accept the Service Agreement, then tap **“Next Step.”**

The name is only a local label and does not affect the wallet address or assets.

### Step 5: Back Up and Verify Your Recovery Phrase

In a private environment, tap **“Generate Mnemonic.”** Write down every word in the exact order shown, then complete the verification.

> **Security warning:** Anyone with your recovery phrase can control your wallet and assets.

* Keep the phrase offline and check the spelling and order.
* Never screenshot, record, copy, upload, or share it.
* Never enter it on an unfamiliar website or form.
* TokenPocket support will never ask for it.

> For security, this guide does not show a recovery phrase or its verification screen.

### Step 6: Confirm Your Wallet Is Ready

After verification, TokenPocket opens the asset page. If your wallet name and ETH appear, the wallet has been created successfully.

Before depositing assets, confirm that your recovery phrase is complete and stored securely offline.

### Important

> Your recovery phrase is the key to your wallet. If you lose both wallet access and the phrase, TokenPocket cannot restore the wallet or recover your assets.
