# How to Add Custom Network

TokenPocket supports adding custom networks. In essence, this allows the wallet to connect to the corresponding blockchain network through the RPC node information filled in by the user.

RPC can be understood as the communication interface between the wallet and the blockchain network. The wallet itself does not directly run all blockchain nodes. Instead, it reads on-chain data, checks balances, obtains transaction statuses, and broadcasts transactions to the corresponding network through RPC nodes.

After the user fills in the correct network name, RPC node URL, Chain ID, and native token symbol, TokenPocket can identify the network and create or import wallet addresses under that network.

It should be noted that a custom network only adds a network connection entry in the wallet. It does not mean that TokenPocket endorses the security of that network or RPC node. Therefore, users should only add network information from the project’s official website, official documentation, or trusted sources.

**Enter the Network Selection Page**

Open TokenPocket and tap the second icon in the upper-right corner of the wallet homepage to enter the “Select Network” page.

After entering the page, you can see identity wallets, multisig wallets, hardware wallets, and the single-network wallet list.

If the network you want to add has already been included by TokenPocket, you can directly enter the network name or native token symbol in the search box to search, and add or switch to use it based on the search results.

If the target network cannot be found, you need to manually add it through “Add Custom Network.”

***

**Enter the Add Custom Network Page**

On the “Select Network” page, scroll down to the bottom and tap “Add Custom Network.”

After entering the “Custom Network” page, if the page displays a list of networks that can be added, you can also search for the target network first.

If the target network is still not found in the list, tap “Add Custom Network” at the bottom of the page to enter the manual filling page.

**Fill in Custom Network Information**

After entering the custom network adding page, you need to fill in the network name and RPC node URL. After the correct RPC is filled in, the system will usually automatically read network information such as Chain ID and native token symbol.

The network name can be filled in according to the official name provided by the project team. The RPC node URL should be obtained from the project’s official documentation, official website, or trusted sources.

After filling in the correct RPC, tap any blank area on the page or another input field, and the system will try to automatically read the relevant data of the network, such as:

* Chain ID
* Native token symbol
* Network type
* Blockchain explorer URL

Among them, the blockchain explorer is optional. If the project team provides an official explorer URL, it can also be filled in to make it easier to view transaction records later.

After confirming that the network name, RPC, Chain ID, native token symbol, and other information are correct, tap “Save.”

**Create or Import a Custom Network Wallet**

After tapping the newly added custom network on the network selection page, an “Add Wallet” window will pop up.

Users can choose according to their actual situation:

* Create Wallet
* Import Wallet

If this is the first time using this network, you can select “Create Wallet” and complete wallet creation according to the page prompts.

If you already have a wallet address for this network, you can select “Import Wallet” and import the existing wallet through a mnemonic phrase, private key, or other methods.

After creation or import is completed, you can enter the wallet asset page of the custom network.

**Important Notes for Adding a Custom Network**

Custom networks can expand the wallet’s support for different blockchain networks. However, since the network information needs to be confirmed by the user, please be sure to pay attention to security before operating.

Please note:

* Only add trusted custom networks.
* RPC node URLs should come from the project’s official website, official documentation, or trusted channels.
* Do not casually copy RPC information provided in communities, private chats, or by strangers.
* Before adding, check whether the network name, RPC, Chain ID, and native token symbol are correct.
* If the Chain ID or RPC information is incorrect, the network may not work properly.
* If a malicious RPC is used, risks such as abnormal asset display or misleading transaction information may occur.
* After the custom network is added, you still need to create or import a wallet before using it.
* After creating or importing a wallet, please properly back up the mnemonic phrase or private key.
* TokenPocket does not save users’ mnemonic phrases, private keys, or wallet passwords.
