Data Migration Across Devices

TokenPocket Data Migration helps you move wallet data across devices and platforms without manually importing each wallet.

The feature currently supports iOS-to-iOS, Extension-to-Extension, and iOS-to-Extension migration. Android support is coming soon.

This guide starts with the migration flow in the iOS app, then walks through the same feature in the TokenPocket Extension.

Security note: Wallet migration data is sensitive. Complete the process in a secure environment, and never share your dynamic QR code, migration file, migration password, wallet password, private key, or recovery phrase with anyone.

Use Data Migration when you switch phones, set up a new device, or want to use the same wallet setup in the extension.

Migration Between iOS Apps

The steps below show how to export wallet data from one iOS device and import it on another.

1. Open Security

Open the TokenPocket app, tap Me in the bottom navigation bar, then tap Security.

2. Open Data Migration

On the Security page, tap Data Migration.

Read the migration instructions, then tap Next.

3. Complete Security Verification

Next, complete the verification flow to confirm that you are starting the migration yourself.

The verification process includes:

• Face ID verification: confirms the person using the device;

• Wallet password verification: confirms that you have access to the wallet;

• Migration password setup: protects the migration data when it is imported on another device.

Keep the migration password safe. Do not take screenshots of it, send it in chats, store it in an unsafe place, or share it with anyone.

After completing the verification steps, tap Next. Select the data you want to migrate, then tap Start Migration.

4. Generate the Dynamic QR Code

After you tap Start Migration, the original device will display a dynamic QR code. Please scan it only in a secure environment.

On the new device, open TokenPocket and go to Me - Security - Data Migration, then tap Import Data in the upper-right corner.

Use the new device to scan the dynamic QR code on the original device. After the migration data is recognized, continue to the import verification step.

5. Import Data on the New Device

After scanning the QR code, enter the migration password on the new device. Once the password is verified, the import will begin.

When the import is complete, you will see Import Successful. Tap Done to finish.

Migrations Between Extensions

The TokenPocket Extension also supports wallet data migration. You can import migration data during the initial setup, or access Data Migration later from Settings - Security.

1. Import Data During Initial Setup

After installing and opening the TokenPocket Extension for the first time, click Import Existing Wallet on the welcome page, or click Migrate Wallet at the bottom.

Before continuing, set a local wallet password for the extension. This password protects your wallet on this device. TokenPocket does not store it and cannot recover it for you.

After setting the password, choose either Scan to Import or Upload File to Import.

If you choose Scan to Import, use the extension to scan the dynamic QR code displayed in the iOS app.

2. Open Security in an Existing Extension Wallet

If you are already using the TokenPocket Extension, open the extension, click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner, then select Security.

From the Security page, open Data Migration to import or export wallet data.

3. Import Data Through Data Migration

On the Data Migration page, click Import Data in the upper-right corner.

Before importing, make sure the extension was downloaded from an official TokenPocket channel.

You can import data in two ways:

• Scan to Import: scan the dynamic QR code displayed in the iOS app or another TokenPocket Extension;

• Upload File to Import: upload a migration file.

If you use a migration file, make sure it comes from a trusted source. Do not transfer or store it via cloud drives, messaging apps, email, or other third-party services.

4. Export Data From the Extension

To export data from the extension, open Data Migration and click Start Migration.

Read and confirm the security reminder, then enter your wallet password.

Next, set a migration password and select the data you want to migrate. After confirming the details, click Start Migration.

The extension will generate a dynamic QR code. You can scan it with another TokenPocket moile app or extension to import the data.

Important Security Notes

Migration data contains sensitive wallet information. If it is exposed, your assets may be at risk.

• Do not take screenshots of the dynamic QR code, forward it, or send it through third-party apps.

• Do not upload migration files to cloud drives, messaging apps, email, or online storage services.

• Do not share migration data, migration passwords, wallet passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases with anyone.

• TokenPocket support does not request this information.

FAQ

What if I forget the migration password?

The migration password is required to decrypt the migration data during import. If you forget it, you will not be able to import that migration data.

Set a password you can remember, and keep it somewhere safe and private.

Can I screenshot the QR code and send it to my new device?

No.

The dynamic QR code contains migration data. Do not take a screenshot of it, forward it, or send it through any third-party app. Use the new device to scan the QR code directly from the original device.

Can I store the migration file in a cloud drive?

No.

Migration files contain sensitive wallet data. Do not upload them to cloud drives, messaging apps, email, or other online storage services.

Does TokenPocket support need my migration data?

No.

TokenPocket support will never ask for this information. Anyone asking for your migration data、seed phrase or private key are scammers.
